Chairman Thompson Inquires on ICE Contracts Awarded to Company Employing Chad Wolf’s Wife

“The timing of these awards and lack of competition raises concerns about the possibility of inappropriate influence on ICE’s contracting decision”

(WASHINGTON) – Today, Rep. Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS), Chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security, sent a letter to Tony Pham of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement expressing his concerns regarding reports that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) awarded millions of dollars in contracts to Berkeley Research Group, the company where Mr. Chad Wolf’s wife is employed, after he rejoined the Department in 2017. In the letter, Chairman Thompson requests the complete contract files for the awards.
